Construkt was a member of a successful multi-disciplinary team brought together by Auckland International Airport Ltd in 2011 to prepare a Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) for two precincts of The Landing – a 145ha commercial and industrial development at the gateway to Auckland Airport.
Construkt’s role was to bring the CDP package together, incorporating input from the other consultants, and to develop the architectural design guidelines.
The wider team was comprised of:
- Construkt/Isthmus Joint Venture responsible for a comprehensive landscape and architectural design guideline document
- Surface Design Inc (James Lord) responsible for master planning and landscape concept
- Osborne Hay (Greg Osborne) responsible for resource management planning and the CDP application
- Flow Transportation Specialists Ltd responsible for transportation planning
In 2013 construction of Precinct B was completed, and the project has since taken a further leap forward, with a CDP lodged with the Council for Precincts C and D in 2014.
“It was important that the masterplan promote and enhance the public open space, yet maintain the site’s desirability as a practical and flexible location for tenants,” says Ian Passau, Property Development Manager for Auckland Airport.
“Construkt has again provided proactive professional advice and design.”
