An elevated ‘forever home’ in Auckland’s Castor Bay presented an opportunity to design a bespoke three level house for a young family to enjoy unobstructed views of Castor Bay and Rangitoto.

Nestled into its steep site, the design is defined by a complementary yet contrasting palette of materials: Venetian plastered walls anchor the house at its lowest level with white-washed & dark vertically stained cedar and standing seam cladding - referencing the local vernacular and materiality of the nearby Marina.

Completion due late 2022.
