Domain Terraces is a multiple award winning residential and commercial development in Auckland.

The awkwardly shaped triangular site posed significant challenges, but its location adjacent to Auckland’s Domain Park and proximity to the vibrant commercial hub of Newmarket presented a great opportunity to design an outstanding mixed use development.

Retail showrooms front onto a busy Carlton Gore Road, with two levels of parking behind. This forms a podium upon which terrace houses are carefully arranged around a landscaped communal courtyard.

The development has, since completion in 1999, become a popular icon within Auckland and in September 2006 was awarded the Inaugural People’s Choice Mayoral Urban Design Award. The judges praised Construkt’s design as an example of timeless architecture and urban design which integrates seamlessly with the nearby Auckland Domain and satisfies a diverse range of around-the-clock uses.
