Construkt Architects designed Roskill South Terraces for Mike Greer Homes in Mt Roskill, Auckland. The project forms part of the wider regeneration of Roskill South, introducing contemporary medium-density housing into an established residential neighbourhood.

The architectural approach uses a combination of building forms, materials and façade detailing to create variation across the terraced housing development. Individual entrances and articulated street frontages help establish a residential scale and a clear relationship between homes and the public realm.

The design considers sunlight, privacy and outdoor living space, balancing the requirements of higher-density housing with residential amenity. The relationship between the buildings, neighbouring properties and surrounding streets was also considered in the supporting urban design report prepared by Construkt.

The project demonstrates an approach to residential intensification that provides additional housing while responding to the character and amenity of the surrounding neighbourhood.
