In 2007 The Warehouse Ltd (TWL) asked Construkt to prepare the concept design for a project in Silverdale, comprising 35 retail units anchored by The Warehouse and a Countdown Supermarket, plus 980 car parks on two levels. On completion this 22,700m2 project was TWL’s largest development.

Another architectural practice had prepared a site layout for TWL, but it was thought that the design needed to have higher design aspirations so we were brought on board to re-examine it. This involved re-designing the concept, plus liaison with stakeholders to gain support for the new design. Our engagement was then extended to the preparation of drawings and reports to accompany the land use consent. The original architect then resumed completion of the architectural work.
